FAQs / Help

How do I use my DigiTicket?

You will be emailed an order confirmation that will include your unique Booking Reference Number and a barcode that also contains this number.  We suggest printing out this email as phone batteries can fail,  or you can show your ticket on our phone at the ferry.  Online bookings do not need to go to the kiosk.

Where does the ferry depart from?

The ferry departs from Kennedy pier, Cobh.  The ferry must leave on time, please arrive at the ferry 10 minutes before departure and allow plenty time for parking and walking to the ferry.  No refunds for late arrival.

Where can I park?

There is no parking at Kennedy pier.  There is free parking at Cobh Cathedral and the Five Foot Way carpark behind Cobh Heritage center.  They are both approx 10 minutes walk, please allow time for parking and the walk to the ferry. You should arrive 10 minutes before departure.

How long will I be on the island?

Return ferries are typically 3 1/2 hours after departure, for example, the 12pm ferry has a return at 3.30pm.  This gives time for the ferry journey, guided tour, time to self explore and visit the cafe and gift shop.  Different tours like After Dark have different schedules.

Do you issue refunds?

No refunds are offered for any reason other than cancellation due to bad weather. If this happens you may contact us as admin@spikeislandcork.ie or 0212373455 for enquires.

I don't have a printer...

You do not have to print out the 8 digit booking reference – you can show it on your phone.

Is there wheelchair access?

Yes the boat is wheelchair accessible, however on the island there is a slightly steep incline up to the fort, and 3 of the 11 attractions in the fort are inaccesible for wheelchairs.

Can I purchase a ticket at your kiosk or on the day.

If there are spaces available you can book on the day, but if we are full, then you cannot. But you can book for another date.  We highly recommend advance online booking in summer.
